Silosan Silicone White Primer

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Water-based, acrylic emulsion-based and silicone-added exterior primer with filling.

PROPERTIES

Its high water vapour permeability enables the humidity to go out, thus allows the buildings to breathe. It has high adherence property. It increases adherence of the paint to be applied by forming a sound basis. As it contains filling, it enhances the covering capacity of top coat paint and reduces consumption.

APPLICATION

It can be easily applied on concrete, plaster, rough rendering, exposed concrete, gas concrete, briquette, drag mosaic, and concrete panel surfaces. The application surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust. Surfaces with old and blistered paint should be scraped.

Newly-plastered surfaces should be kept for at least 4 weeks before application. Rough and loose surfaces as well as those containing hair cracks should be puttied up with "Düfa Acrylic Exterior Putty.” After the smoothening process, it is recommended to apply one coat so as to reduce top coat paint consumption, enhance adhesion of paint on surface and in cases of colour change. For the purpose of avoiding drying problems, the application areas should be protected against rain and frost and no application should be performed on areas exposed to excessive wind or direct sunlight. Surfaces of buildings that are not exposed to sunlight should be preferred at temperatures over 35 °C and if application is to be carried out between 12 pm and 4 pm. “Silosan Silicone White Primer" is applied as one coat by roll or brush after diluting by 10% at maximum with water. Application temperature should be between 5˚C and 35˚C .

DRYING TIME

Before final coat of paint: 6–8 hours. (23 °C and 50% Humidity)

CONSUMPTION

Depending on absorbing capacity and type of the surface, an area of 12-16 m² is painted on single layer. Field sample work should be carried out for precise consumption.

STORAGE

It should be kept in its closed package, in a dry and cool place that is not directly exposed to sunlight and between 5°-35° C and should be protected from frost.
